Are you looking for a very special location for your wedding? The unique flair of the Aggstein castle ruin with its breathtaking view over the Wachau offers the right setting for this unforgettable event! The romantic castle chapel is ideally suited for a church wedding; the magnificent Knights’ Hall is perfect for a large celebration with lots of guests.
The Knights’ hall – ideal for your wedding celebration
Depending on the seating arrangements, the Knights’ Hall, which is around 200 m2 in size and has a gallery, offers space for 70 to 200 people. Wrought-iron chandeliers bathe the room in a pleasant light; the open fireplace ensures a cosy atmosphere and the underfloor heating provides warmth on cool autumn days. Magnificent trophies and historic coats-of-arms give the hall a feudal touch. Tables and chairs are made of dark wood and blend harmoniously into the medieval atmosphere. The gallery is superbly suited for holding the registry office ceremony in the event of bad weather.
The finest delicacies from the age of chivalry
From fine cuisine to traditional fare and medieval recipes, the innkeeper of the castle ruins, Siegfried Reiterer, will treat you to a personal wedding menu created especially for you. For everyone who loves exceptional things, there is also medieval earthenware available. Siegfried Reiterer and his experienced team will ensure that your celebrations go off perfectly.
The castle chapel – Utter romance
The castle chapel is one of the most romantic locations to say “I do”. We support you in the handling of the organisational issues that arise with regard to a church wedding. The priest in Aggsbach village gives each marriage priest or deacon who marries the bridal couple in the castle chapel permission to conduct the marriage.
